Aaniin/Boozhoo/Willkommen/Hello
My goal is to work with people in authentic ways. To journey with folks through difficult, hard, messy, and scary situations.
I am a white-passing Metis-Anishinaabe-German 2Spirit/Trans/Non-Binary person from Penetanguishene, currently living in Kitchener, Ontario, on the Haldimand Tract, 950 000 acres ‘set aside’ for The Six Nations, of which only 48 000 remain. I work from a trauma informed and decolonial practice, working from an Anti-Black Racism/Anti-Racist/Anti-Oppression framework.
I focus my work on supporting children, youth, and families who are 2S LGBTQIA and/or BIPOC folks. Much of my work has centred around supporting folks dealing with trauma and systemic oppression, mental illness, gender identity, transition, sexual orientation, and substance use, I tend to focus on working with youth and young adults, specifically young people who are 2S LGBTQIA, QTBIPOC and parts of other marginalized communities.
I lean towards using Somatic based practices, Parts Work, narrative work and restorying our experiences, In family work I use these practice combined with Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and attachment work.
